Bracing
Roof bracing is often necessary to provide stability.
Trusses are not usually very rigid out of their plane. Care must therefore be taken, particularly during erection, to add bracing to ensure stability. This is typically provided in the end bays of buildings, and takes the form of diagonal members in the plane of the roof to aid the diaphragm action of the roof covering in spreading wind loads to supporting members.
