Design

The Slimdek design process is primarily concerned with performance of the main structural elements but the designer must be aware of the connections between the beams and the columns and the method by which services will be accommodated within the floor. The requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations, which sets minimum standards for acoustic performance, must also be taken into account.
