Through its Confidex Sustain® process, Corus Panels and Profiles is able to offer one of the world’s first CarbonNeutral Building envelopes, offsetting every kilogram of carbon dioxide produced during manufacture, delivery and installation of the pre-finished steel, cladding, insulation and fixings. This offsetting continues throughout the building’s lifetime, from cradle to cradle and takes into consideration the emissions associated with demolition and recycling. All emissions are balanced by Corus investing in renewable energy and climate friendly projects that will have important social and economic as well as environmental benefit in various locations across the world.

All these benefits come on top of the long established Confidex® Guarantee itself. As this treats cut edges the same as the rest of the cladding, Confidex® allows a single guaranteed figure of up to 40 years to be attributed to the whole building envelope. Confidex® is offered directly to the building owner, and is fully transferable should ownership change during the building’s life. On this project the guarantee was awarded and is not dependent on annual inspections.
