Hambleside Danelaw, Daventry
2008
Hambleside Danelaw specialises in the production of roofing systems and ventilation products, providing specifiers with systems specifically designed to be recyclable and to help reduce the carbon footprints of the buildings where they are used. Recognised by the Queen’s Awards, the Business Commitment to the Environment and the Carbon Trust for products providing energy saving benefits and carbon emission reductions, Hambleside Danelaw has a strong sustainable agenda.

Architect Stephen Gee of G4 Design was appointed to design a new 4,000m2 manufacturing and production facility on the same industrial estate where the firm can efficiently produce its roofing and ventilation products.
For the roof, Corus Panels and Profiles Trisomet® composite panel was specified using Colorcoat HPS200® in Goosewing Grey. The choice of the panel in this pre-finished steel offers the ultimate in durability, providing a long-term sustainable building envelope solution, again fitting in with the design brief.
The specification of Corus Panels and Profiles Trisomet® system using Colorcoat HPS200® along with the clients own ‘insulator’ rooflights that achieve a U value of 0.8W / m2K, has enabled Hambleside Danelaw’s design team to deliver a building which fits with the culture and the business they undertake. The building envelope has an optimised performance in terms of energy efficiency and structural performance, and is reinforced by Confidex Sustain®, which for the first time in the world, can offer clients the prospect of a CarbonNeutral
building envelope.
