Untensioned corrugated safety barrier

Untensioned corrugated beam (UCB) is no longer specified for new installations but we do still manufacture replacement parts for this system. We now specify Vetex road safety barriers instead for new installations.

Untensioned Corrugated Beam has been used for road bends where the radius is tighter than usual. Untensioned Corrugated Beam systems do not use tensioning devices which means that they can follow smaller radius curves in the road layout. Tata Steel can manufacture and supply all non-proprietary Untensioned Corrugated Beam components to Highways Agency design drawings. All fasteners and other accessories components can be supplied. If however, a special component is required then Tata Steel can manufacture this for our customers. Although customers are reminded that a departure from standard will be required.
